Oh my bad, I didn't see that. Need to see Ctrl-I from PE. No process is using it so I have to see where exactly is that memory going.

The 16g RAM usage is from the nonpaged pool, if that helps.... Still waiting to hear back from tech support....

Then it's certain that the driver is causing it. Did you try reinstalling the driver? It is either a driver issue or the drive is faulty.

Just off the phone with Asus tech support. They say return it. Sooo, unless someone here has any last minute ideas, the RAIDR is going back. The question is, should I get another, or a refund?

No more suggestions unfortunately. I say get another one and it does the same thing then get a refund. I doubt there's an incompatibility with X58 so it's most likely you just happened to grab a faulty one. It's rare but it happens.

I just sent off the request for an rma, and heard this from tech support:

"We are currently in the process of building a system with the same motherboard that you are using so we can test out the issue you are encountering. We will be back in touch with you as soon as possible and let you know what we have found from our tests."

I'll wait a little while longer and see what they discover.... Otherwise, it's going back.

Tech support was unable to resolve the issue, so I returned the drive for a refund. Thanks for your help.....
