G750 gaming laptop stuttering when playing games

Hello guys,

Having some really weird issues with my laptop lately, its constantly stuttering when I boot up games like counterstrike or even Terraria, the stutters only last for 1-2 seconds but its constantly every 1-2 minutes which ruins the experience completely.

I've uninstalled my GPU drivers and updated to the brand new ones 331.82.

I've also flashed my BIOS to the new update from the asus website 208.

No idea what I'm getting these issues, my laptop can easily run these games specs wise.:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Asus G750JW
Gaming Laptop
Intel Core i7-4700HQ 2.4GHz
16GB RAM
1TB HDD
NVIDIA GTX765M
Webcam
Windows 8 64bit

I added an extra 8gb
Corsair 8GB(2x4GB) DDR3 1066MHz/PC3-8500 Laptop Memory Kit SODIMM CL7 ( 7-7-7-20 )

If theres any more information you need just ask and i'll respond asap

Cheers everyone

Hey TokoDude.

Yep I've check and set it to 'high performance' but still no joy

are the games installed on the 1TB, and is that a 5400rpm drive?

if so, I had same problem - replaced it with 7200rpm drive

Yep its installed on the the 5400rpm drive. I've got a ssd but having issues with that.

The problem might be the memory you added, the Consair stick voltage is 1.5V - for all G750 it is recommended that you upgrade the memory with 1.35V below is a link detailing everything.

I also was having games stutter so moved them to my "F" drive which is a 128g ssd and no more stutter
hope that helps
