    BEWARE of Jetflo

Just 1 hour ago, i had some red screen of death/repeated reboots, when watching a film on the TV, i know what it was right away, or what could be the cause..

And yes AGAIN, a minor pool of Oil on my lightning backplate, coming from the Jetflo just above the VGA card, i tasted it, and it was oil, not glycol.. and oils splash around the fan frame

it was so much of the oil on the Lightning backplate, it had reached the VGA PCB through the screw holes..

Out of 15 jetflo's, at least 5 of them are now in the trash, due to leaks.

Its good fans, if they wouldent leak. i am returning all my fans, and for the people i have built computers for, i am going to replace all of those jetflo's ASAP..

    replace them

This one really flooded my VGA card.. pool size of 40X30mm

I use two 120mm CM JetFlow's pushing air out the top of my pc... now you have me worried. Can I ask you at what RPM do you usually run yours, how long until yours usually start leaking/fail, & is this a problem with ones that have certain colored LED's... or is it a product wide issue?

Its possible that Sweden got a bad batch, i dunno..

Out of the 5 faulty ones, 3 had moderate leakage, and 2 of the really sprung leak, i have other Jetflos out there, cant inspect them this day, but will remove them, as soon as possible..

Thats all i can say really..

Do a stress test on a fan for a few hours and inspect it.

I've run mine at full speed for hours at a time, I've had no issues. That's why I was wondering if it happens like after 1000 hours of constant full speed use or what... maybe I'll just pop the hood and inspect them after long sessions

Lightning R.I.P +1600mhz in the thrash

The first one started after a couple of weeks, i could tell by the oil splashing..

    And replaced it ASAP..

2 or 3 more started to "splash" later

the Lightning perpetrator on the other hand, simply let go of all the oil at once (as it seem)

I had it mounted on a 120 rad (rear of the case), directly above the Lightning, running at approximate 400 RPM at the time ( was watching a film)

no bent fan frames or stuff like that, a plain and simple fan installations..

i think fluctuation in the RPM, and tilting the fans on and off could easily trigger the leak, did some testing, but thats not normal conditions..

no more jetflo, sad.. Its great fans otherwise.

    RSOD is not good
