ASUS flavors of the nVIDIA Drivers are far more stable on our laptops and don't suffer from the slow reboot bug

Not doubting your word or anything but could you elaborate asto why this graphic driver is better than Nvidia's own? (aside from the obivous you mentioned, the slow reboot bug)
I am presently using Nvidia's v331.82 on my JH and not really experiencing any hickups - to my knowlegde, anyway.

because it contains a modified *.ini file in the drivers from ASUS bro

that's the whole reason the ASUS versions are more stable as they are made to work perfectly on the ASUS GeForce flavor of the GTX 770 or what not

I'm pretty sure only 3D models had issues with the drivers, non-3D should work fine with stock nvidia. Nevertheless, good to see updated drivers from Asus.

So if I wanted to try this Asus customised graphic driver what would be the best way to uninstall the present Nvidia driver?
Via windows 8.0 Safe Mode? Will this ensure a complete clean uninstall - thinking here about whatever is entered into the registry, if this will also be removed?
Or is the best advice to just leave well enough alone as I am not experiencing any problems with present driver?

just run the installer, and when installing it, tick the CLEAN install option

who knows what optimizations that ASUS INF file brings, could never be bad but only good 🙂
