Strange, 1st boot, the RAID window (ctrl + I) was indicated 12.7.0.1936
to reboot, the IRST bios menu, it was indicated 13.1.0.2030

Can I know if the UEFI driver is the 13.x version?
    Sorry for my english

The R4E BIOS 4701, which has been modded and uploaded by BOLTSBREKFAST, contains the EFI SataDriver v13.1.0.2030, but still the original Intel RAID ROM v12.7.0.1936.
That is the reason why you see different version by hitting CTRL+I and looking into the Intel(R) Rapid Storage section of the UEFI BIOS.

    This is true Fernando...

I will fix this now and update the OP with a new download link for the RIVE 4701 BIOS. Thanks for the heads up!

Has anyone tried the RIVE Black Edition BIOS?

I have now updated the RIVE 4701 link in the OP to a version that has both EFI ROM and RAID ROM 13.1.0.2030. Let me know if there's any issues. And could someone please test the Black Edition BIOS?

    RE: Modified BIOS

F.Y.Y.. I've flashed the BIOS with the modified BOLTSBREKFAST R4E BIOS 4701. I'm now getting stop errors and forced reboots when downloading files and/or multitasking within Explorer.. I re-flashed to the OEM 4701 and there's no longer an issue..

What is the difference between version v13.1.0.2030 and v12.7.0.1936?

    Hello all,
Seems that the general consensus is the 1404 BIOS is best for overclocking/stability... That said, I know there's many RIVE guru's out there. Can someone patch the bios for Rampage IV Extreme (1404) with the latest EFI RAID ROM module 13.1.0.2030? I would personally be very very thankful as many others as well.....

    Best regards..

Correct me if i'm wrong.. but 1404 is not an EFI BIOS.. it uses the RSTe (enterprise) RAID module 3.00.1184

I get a failed security check error when flashing the RE4.CAP file from a USB flash stick in the EZ Flash 2 BIOS utility. I did manage to update to the stock 4701 BIOS and load defaults.

It must be flashed using the "Flashback" method - not EZ Flash utility..
