Did you notice any unknown or other devices in your device manager to indicate Windows may see the hardware at least even though the driver hasn't been installed?
According to your screenshot, it sounds like you are trying to install the Qualcomm Atheros Wireless Lan Driver, but if you didn't already know, the G750JW can come with different wireless cards using different drivers.

Consider trying the Intel or Broadcom wireless driver posted on the ASUS G750JW download site for Win8 (not sure that the download site is working that great right now, but search for your G750JW model and give it time to load): http://www.service.asus.com/#!downloads/c1wax

You can also try this ASUS G750JW download page for Win8 or Win8.1 drivers: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=G750JW&p=3&s=521

My U.S. retail G750JW test unit is using the broadcom 802.11ac wireless adapter (along with the Qualcomm Atheros wired LAN adapter if you're wondering), so something you may want to look into more.

Good luck!

cpanel10x, try the newer release drivers downloadable from the new G750JM/JS/JZ download areas. Asus doesn't always backfill new drivers into the already released laptop download areas, you have to follow the new 🙂

All G750 models:

G750JS, the new JX:
http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=3&m=G750JS&hashedid=ky0AhxAwBK7zaRx3

Wireless Section for the JS:

Upgrading your firmware in your router is also a good idea, if you haven't already.
