Worth trying 285.27 Beta drivers?

As the topic says!
They promise higher performance for e.g Crysis 2, and that's mainly what I play.
Anyone tried them out yet and that could give me some feedback?

Reason I ask is that I don't try betas, ever...

I haven't tried them just because of the reason you stated. Beta drivers aren't guaranteed to be stable. I'm just going to wait for them to be released as a new driver.

Theres is a slight improvement on 3D Mark 11 I used to get P1989 and with these new 285.27 drivers I get P2024.

I've tried them a few hours on Warhammer 40k: Space Marine, and I definitely feel a "smoother experience".
Try them out, haven't encountered anything negative. Cheers!

You might say it turned my G73sw into a G74sx without overclocking hehehe

they put these beta drivers out usually to target a specific subset of user who might or might not have been having trouble with something.

ie crysis2 performance is improved on a certain model of graphic card.

they did similar when the g50/g51 came out, tweaking the mobile card in them for better left4dead performance and such. be careful with those, and always check around, not too long ago nvidia fried out some people's video cards with one of their new drivers, version 260.xx i think.
