For gaming the Hero is the best bang for the buck with a Haswell CPU...X79 has little to offer gaming. 16GB of ram is more than enough for gaming and it doesn't have to be the highest frequency either...1600 1866 fine. Save on these components in comparison to X79 and put the maximum you can into the GPU get a 780 or 290 or 290X. You will want more than 2GB VRAM for any resolution over 1080p...or for a bit of future proofing...I would get a 3GB or 4GB card....

The PSU, yeah 850-860 will be fine the AX860i will be a good choice...

My budget is higher so i can afford a motherboard + cpu that may keep more years.. So the hero its the best choice for a lower budget..
Thanks for your help in PSU and GPU. Just in case.. gtx 770 and gtx 780 has a difference of 150 euro +.

the hero/haswell combo is a good choice. I almost went that route. you could even get the g-skill trident z instead of the ripjaw z.
Also alot of gamers I know went with the i5 4670 haswell instead of the i7 4770 haswell. The i5 is cheaper and the i7 doesn't have anything a gamer needs (except resale value?)
If you like the RIVE you wont be disappointed with the hero. (unless you actually need 64 gb of ram...)
    http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VI_HERO/
plus the hero has the new UEFI bios (which i am a little jealous of)

My budget is higher so i can afford a motherboard + cpu that may keep more years
I actually took that same concept pretty seriously. The truth is there is no way of knowing if the x79 LGA 2011 platform will last as long as its predecessor LGA 1366 did. They are already saying haswell-E will be x99 (whatever that is) so if thats true both RIVE and hero will last the same amount of time.

X79 will last to the end of this year when it will be replaced by X99 DDR4 RAM and Haswell-E.... none of the current platforms will have any more life than the other to any significant degree.

If you want X79 then of course go for it but for a gaming rig it is not needed. The important things for games are the GPU's. X79 and a 770 will be worse gaming than Z87 and a 780 or better a 780Ti...

If I get it correct cuz my english pretty su*ks, New age x99 cpu coming out, so both lga 2011 and lga 1366 may last the same. As i see it, RIVE has more points in the upgrade session, cuz its up to the user if he will put 64 gb or less but the hero can take only 32 as the fomrula too.

Trident z is also a great choice maybe i i will check it!
    What is the UEFI bios?
If this helps you out, the main purpose of the cpu is to help my pc goes really fast not only in games, cuz when i play i may search on the internet, have an office on and generally many programmes on at the same time.

X99 is the chipset, the socket is 2011-3 for Haswell-E CPU's. The main thing with Haswell-E is support for DDR4 RAM.

Think that x79 will help me in general not in games, or not? I chose the 770 cuz I dont need more, i am not a hardcore gamer, just someone who want to play somehow better than my GeForce gt 220 :P hahahahahahhahaha

Don't get me wrong SpikeAman...I have X79 myself and love it...but for many things it is no better than z87. I have fun with it overclocking and benchmarking and it makes a great gaming machine too...just not necessary. There are some things that X79 is great for...video rendering and RAM heavy applications like professional photowork but they are usually specialist things that the average PC user does not need. X79 is not needed for browsing the internet...watching films...gaming...it is necessary for getting maximum scores in benchmarks...at least most of them.

I just wanted you to know it is not the best/necessary for gaming...whatever you choose these modern systems are fantastically powerful and will last you well for all normal PC work...you'll enjoy whatever you get I'm sure. And wahtever you get will blow your gt220 away

I see what you mean. So for cpu what do you recommend as the best for the amount of less than 300 euro that fits with RIVE?

Well to be honest one of the major reasons for getting X79 is to get a 6 core CPU. The 4820K would be the best four core CPU for the RIVE. The thing is, I would honestly think about getting a different platform for four cores. The 3930K or 4930K are what you really want to run on X79.

The 4930K and 4820K are IB-E processors and the 3930K and 3820 are SB-E. The RIVE is optimised for SB-E for the most part even though later BIOS versions let you run IB-E on it. Ideally for IB-E though you would want the RIVBE....(black edition).
