Adding RAM question

Hey guys,

I currently have 8GB of RAM in my G75VX. I got two 4gb RAM modules from my brothers old laptop, here is the datasheet for these modules: http://www.datasheetarchive.com/dl/Datasheets-IS10/DSA00199067.pdf I want to know if they will work with my laptop.

note that there are some variants of the elpida ram according to the datasheet. if it's of 1600MHz, then it's good (you can just put them in and see if they have downclocked the system).

how do i know if the system was downclocked?

check the dram frequency from cpu-z (like the image you posted above). if it's lower than the current one, which is near 800MHz, it's downclocked. apparently it's a 1333MHz ram (PC3-10600S-9-10-F2). i guess it will work, but running at 1333MHz, not 1600MHz.
