hi @Lolkiwifruit,
1. proceed to select the right OS version from the dropdown list;
2. you will be present with a list of categories. click on the Utilities section.
3. scroll down until you see the first utility named 'ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities';
4. download that file and extract the contents;
5. uninstall the existing ATK Package, reboot, install the new package, and then reboot;
6. try to turn the backlighting with fn+f4 key combo.

Hi rewben,
I have windows 8.1. there's no utilities section in the OS windows 8.1 64bit, sorry to be a pain but what do i do now??,

How do find my ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities i already have in my system???

at last.. it's hard to log in just now (the account page is missing). you can use the w8 version.

you can goto control panel > programs and features. if you're talking about the physical location, it should be at c:\program files (x86)\asus\

Thanks its working now
