Interesting read. I have 2 -4930K's and still bought a 3930K for comparison. I've been very lucky with all three. 4930K #1 does 4.8 @1.408 and $930K #2 does 4.8 @ 1.376v. The new 3930K does 5ghz @ 1.462. Those are bench stable.
IB-E, while much cooler than SB-E, seems to be very finnicky about rising above 4.9 and have yet to see anybody post above that bench stable without ln2. IB-E most certainly out perform SB-E. However, If my 3930K ends up doing 5.2-5.3 @ that will reside in my main rig for benching. It is disappointing that IB-E doesn't clock as high and requires so much caressing to get slightly above 4.8.
