Hi all again, hope all had a good New Year! I did some quick searching through the forums but I wasn't lucky. I have finally upgraded to an Asus GTX 780. I have a Asus Rampage IV Formula, RIVE, just curious if I can use PCI express red slot 3 for the placement of my card and not lose any speed. My NZXT case has a nice spot for a fan to place directly in front of the vga cards, and slot 3 is the best placement for airflow.

Hey Alton! nice upgrade!....you can stick that in slot 3 (red) no problem...it will run x16 🙂

I have a single card, Asus Gtx 780 Direct c in lane 4 on my Rampage iv Formula board, in GPU Z the 4th lane is reading x16 speed, but bus interface speed is 2.0 not 3.0...I have already tried a game to see if that would step it up to 3.0 because of the power save, but that didn't work.. Any Ideas anyone?
