Serious gaming problems with R9 280x DCU2 TOP...

i am just having HORRIBLE gaming experience with this card. bought this to replace my Sapphire 7950 and frankly, it's substantially worse gaming experience than the 7950. If in ops the fps MIGHT get to 20 fps.. where as the 7950 would run around 70fps with max settings. What is going on here??? im running catalyst 13.12 with latest drivers.. the fps sits around 90 with no movement.. the minute i move.. it plummets to 15-18 fps... ug 😞

Hello mate

Please do a full driver clean up and reinstall the AMD drivers.

Could you download GPUz and post up the screen. I want to see what PCie speed your system is picking the card up at.

I had uninstalled previous drivers originally.. but I did that again anyway as requested..

I went to programs and features and then uninstalled AMD catalyst and when I was within there I uninstalled all the drivers. I did not use a driver cleaner as I'm unfamiliar with what they are and how they work.

Could you tell me how you uninstalled them? And which driver cleaner you used or how you removed left overs from the old drivers.

Basically I am trying to work out why your FPS are lower with a better card.

Could you pleaser revert back to driver 13.11.

Select the full install during the AMD driver.

Ok. I'll dl 13.11. This I had recently done a clean system install and 13.12 was the first I installed.

Ah right no worries - wonder if it is a buggy driver and I see quite a few people are happy with 13.11 and have gone back to that driver.
