Thentitle says it all. My problem is that the DVD/CD burner in my G75VW will not play some of the newer movies. I am using windows 8.1, and PowerDVD 13 Ultra. Power DVD plays the DVD's for a bit then it comes up with this error: "PowerDvD cannot read a file. Playback will stop."

I updated all my drivers, made sure that any junk was removed from my laptop, and bought an LG external DVD player. The external DvD player works fine, If anyone knows where I can get the firmware for my drive it would be greatly appreciated.

please reinstall driver at device manager, then rescan install driver again.

Tried everything already. Even went so far as to swap in a spare DvD drive but no luck. The only way I can play new movies on my laptop is with an external DvD player atm. That is why I am asking for new firmware on the drive.
