Hi mu5tang71, Welcome to the ROG community. I would go with the 4770k. There are games that already support hyperthreading such as Battlefield 4 and Crysis 3. There may be more but I know those two games support it. The 4770k also has a better IMC ( Internal Memory Controller ) which will allow you to use high speed RAM.

Should I get the i7-4770K or go with the i5-4670K witch is about $80.00 cheaper. Or will games in the future call for the i7-4770K. Any suggestions would be appropriated.... Thanks

If I were you, I'd grab the i5-4670k instead and with that extra $80 that you're saving, get the R9 270X instead. Trust me. The jump from a R7 260X to a R9 270X is well worth it. Besides, most of the R9 270Xs are around $220 to $240.

if i was mostly gaming i would follow chino's advice, id rather get a better gpu than cpu in these cases, though it would be somehow different if we're talking about professional stuffs and benches
