    I just built a new system, and i have the same exact issue as you do OP. funny thing is, im running t he same CPU, RAM, Mobo AND GPU you are..... must be some kind of compatibility issue.....
    can you PLEASE tell me how you fixed it??

    Same issue here on a new build.
    Common hardware includes:
    - Intel Core i7-4470K 3.5 4th Gen
    - Asus Maximus VI Formula ROG Series
    - G.Skill Trident X Series but mine is 2x8GB 2400MHz
    - GeForce GTX 780Ti 3GB but from EVGA!
    and a Samsung SSD as main drive

    I downloaded the latest nVidia driver 335.23 from EVGA and did a clean install, which resolved the issue
