From corsair I would get a single quad channel Platinum kit.

Choosing a frequency is sometimes also complicated a bit by the timings of the RAM. There is a formula that can help you in deciding if one kit is faster than the other when the timings are taken into account.

(CAS/frequency) x 2000 gives you a number in nanoseconds for comparing speeds.

Say you see a 1600 kit at 7-8-7-20 and a 1866 kit at 9-10-9-28 which is faster?

Well 7/1600 x 2000 = 8.75 nanoseconds; 9/1866 x 2000 = 9.646 so the 1600 kit actually looks quicker.

1st question should be, what are you going to use this system for? gaming mostly? editing a lot? a mix of the two?

and I will be overclocking this system

2133 - 2400mhz range

I will have my new pc build in about five days I have almost the same setup as you with an i7 4930K, Rampage IV Black, a Titan 3D card and 64GB of 1866MHz Corsair Vengeance CL9 1.5v ram if you are using 64GB as well I can tell you how my pc runs when I get it.

I HAVE THE BOARD ALREADY but I am waiting to buy some good ram in the past I had trouble with Corsair ram and it was replaced but still what a hassel working that out any way would be good to know how the build goes?
I am still using my Rampage 3 Extreme board O/C from 3.07 to 3.9 very stable for 3 years now but as usual ram is alway letting me down

The RipjawsZ is the perfect match for the Rampage IV Extreme Black. I've never seen any problems of incompatibility or conflicts with those two.
