hi GamerGrl90 , welcome to the R.O.G community
I too lost my father to cancer (lung), I felt sorry for
my youngest daughter as she missed him dearly
as he allways had heaps of time for her, it's allways hard
for the people left behind, I myself quit smoking and
will never do it again. good luck with fitness....
I see as perhaps a new leaf, chapter in our lives
may we have our health and remember them for ever

This april, my dad would have quit smoking about 23 years ago. April 4?, 1991. Mom on the other hand, has tried quitting more times than a ping pong ball going back and forth. I really want her to quit, and she's adamant "Oh, I'll never get cancer" "I won't get as sick as he did" "but I want to quit"

DARN WOMAN, I nearly lost you as a child to 2 brain aneurysms, strokes, seizures and a handful of suicide attempts. -ugh-

That is awful! Glad to know that your dad was able to quit smoking, that's a great thing to hear. As far as the funeral, that's much more important than those of us here on the forums.

I sincerely hope that was meant in jest. Misogyny will not be tolerated on this forum.

It was jest. As in the "omgosh, im a gamer girl" or "Im a girl and im participating on a forum which is totally not girly thing at all" threads. The internets full of them and its not as big of a deal as the title of the thread suggests.

It also says welcome. Nothing sexist or hostile. I love women thats why I married one.

    Fair enough.

You do understand why I said something though since you've seen other threads like this one and the mouth breathers they sometimes attract. Sarcasm and intent don't read through so if it WAS negative then I wanted to stop it short before things got out of hand.

    Carry on!

Funny thing is I can remember the last time someone actively promoted their gender on this forum. Regardless welcome.
