if you have the windows power plan set to high performance {which you do) it should stay locked at your overclock, which cpu-z is showing that it is.

Wanted to give another update... I reverted to optimize defaults and noted down all the changes ai suite made using what was stated upon saving and exiting. I then rebooted to make sure everything was default. I then manually made the same parameters.... Guess what...? The overclock stayed at 4.2 ghz but the minimum is now 3.5ghz.... There has to be other changes ai suite is making to the bios that's it's not reporting or recording...I'm running a stability test now.

While there are a lot of settings to play with you don't need to fool with them, these boards seem to run best with most settings left on auto. To overclock your cpu manually is easy. If you would like I can help you with this.

OK, depending on your cpu cooler, you can get more than 4.2 GHz.
