Suitable Bags, Backpacks or Cases for ROG G750 Notebook

Hello ROG Community,

In about a month, I'll be starting a travelling position with a national company. I wanted a sweet gaming and processing powerhouse that preserved the element of portability for this purpose. I bought the ASUS ROG G750JW so I could have both. But finding a suitable travelling bag has been a bit of a challenge considering that the notebook is larger in size than most standard 17.3" notebooks.

I've looked at several bags/briefcases/backpacks in various retail stores and I'm afraid that all of them may be too small for this machine.

Since the ROG Nomad backpack isn't available in the United States just yet, I have to look at different options. I don't want the Shuttle backpack. So I have to find something else.

Here's what I need to carry with me when I travel: ASUS ROG G750 notebook, it's power brick, a portable DJ MIDI controller (that separates into three smaller pieces), a 4th gen iPad and PS Vita.

I'm almost certain that if I find a good bag that fits the notebook, getting the other items to fit in the bag shouldn't be a big issue.

I wanted to know if anyone on here has run into a similar situation or has any good suggestions for alternatives in travel options for this great machine?

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

I carry mine in a Kenneth Cole R-Tech bag. It's by no means the cheapest laptop bag out there (can be had for about $100 US) but it's extremely high quality and you could easily fit everything on your list in there and more. In mine I carry:

G750
Power brick
Kindle paperwhite
Nexus tablet
Portable hard drive
Xbox 360 controller
Wireless mouse
More wires and adapters than most sane people will ever need or use in their lives

I'm not even using every compartment in the bag, nor am I straining any of the seams. It goes with me everywhere, every single day, without fail. Highly recommended.

Well no **** it's made of Leather! And it looks HOT! I am considering it over the ROG Nomad. But then again, I think the backpack might provide more support for the unstrong alike myself. :c /woman

Hi.
This Monday I'll get my G750JX with 3D panel. I'll get an Wenger Carbon 17", which is affordable. In Amazon Spain the Nomad cost 150 euros.

The Nomad isn't cheap, but it is a solid build that should last for years.

The Wenger I got from a client while I was there 4+ years ago is still going strong, and the straps haven't rolled, so it is a solid build too. This is the current model of the one I have:

I used it to carry a 17" Macbook, and a Lenovo 15" Windows laptop, both for work.

The Wenger didn't take the concentrated weight of my G750's well, the bag material stretches too much and sags, so I switched to the 18" carry Oakley Kitchen Sink.

The current model Wenger might be better suited to carry the heavy G750's, check it out in person with your G750 inside it to see for sure.

The Pegasus was a model I looked at when I got the G750JW, but it was a bit large in capacity - from back to front it is very large (HUGE!):

The Asus Nomad bag material is very strong, it doesn't stretch/sag at all under the weight of the G750+Macbook Pro 15", and using the girth straps you can expand/contract the size so it is slimmer if you don't have a lot of stuff packed in it.

The Nomad has exactly what you would want included in the design to carry the G750's 🙂

IDK if it will get cheaper where you can order it, but originally I paid $189US for pre-order from Amazon US - and when I got it I thought it was totally worth it.

When I checked the Amazon link again, the price had gone down to $124US, so I called Amazon and exercised the 7 day from delivery price protection - maybe only for Prime members buying from an Amazon Prime seller only?, and I got a $49 refund 🙂

Amazon UK prices are outrageous, $386£!

Where did you find it for $150 Euro?

Im using the Everki Titan backpack, got it local for $125 on ebay!

Its big enough to comfortably fit my;
G750
Corsair K70 Keyboard
Weski USB Mouse
Charger for laptop
Xperia tablet
two text books for college
lunch + drink
pencil case

and theres PLENTY of room left over for anything else i could want 😄

I coule even put another, smaller laptop in there c:

Although by this point it would start getting heavy haha

CountParadox, that's a great bag, and you got it for the cheapest price I have ever seen, was it new at $125? Right now it's $137 on Ebay, and $177 on Amazon - Prime.

The Titan is larger capacity than I need, does that ebay dealer sell the Everki Beacon?, that is the one I am looking to get. Please post a link to the dealer, or please PM, Thanks!
