Hey folks, I am curious about something.

My HD with the OS started putting off some nasty vibrations and needs to be replaced. What I am curious about is that my G74 has two....and I don't store anything on the backup drive. Can I just move it over, toss the OS on it and use that while I wait?

This laptop is just used for gaming so I don't have anything really critical on it. Any walkthroughs on how I would turn my SDATA1/SDATA2 drive into the new OS Drive?

Hardware is all easy...I start getting stumped when it comes to setting everything else up lol

And the Hard Drive I need to replace is still functioning, just on its last legs by the sound of it.

Your plan sounds good to me!

Let us know if you need more tips on transferring your OS, but it may depend on what kind of utility you plan to use for this and how you want to do this like if you want to keep everything exactly the same, or if you prefer to start over with the original ASUS Windows image and just manually transfer over any additional data and reinstall programs.
