One Suggestion for Future G46 Refreshes

Please, make the system easier to access the internal components. The fact that I only have access to the RAM slots is quite frustrating. Even getting to the hard drive requires lifting the keyboard up.

I am with you on that one. I upgraded to the 3840QM i7, Samsung SSD, and Bigfoot Wifi card and it was not the easiest. I see you are running the 1080p panel also. The AUO panel from the Alienware 14 is amazing isn't it?

On that note, I also would hope they bump up the Stock screen to 1080p and upgrade the GPU to an 870m or better. They can do more with that platform, they just need to innovate some more and sort out the thermals. Dual cooling in the G46 can handle it given the right circumstances. Plus i think and a smaller 1080p panel shouldn't be to detrimental to the GPU, its not like a 17inch screen with significantly more pixels.

Edit: And one last thing, if they are omitting touchscreen, then offer WIN7 driver support. My windows 7 runs nearly flawlessly, but there are some issues i have had to sort out in the past.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but you seem to be saying that a 14" 1080p screen has less pixels than a 17" 1080p screen? 1080p means that the screen is 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels, for a total of 2,073,600 pixels. By definition, any 1080p screen will have the same number of pixels, whether it's a 14", 17", or even a 50" TV.

Well to answer your first question, I can confirm the 1080p display is very good :D. On another note, yes, I do believe ASUS can cram better hardware in here. And maybe make a more not-budget oriented version in the future which does have a better graphics card, for the demanding users (I'm sort of one myself).
