G53SW screen compatibility

Hello guys, and nice to be a member of this community. As some of you know, the screen quality of the G53SW isn't exactly exemplary. As I was doing some research, I found out that the screen is made by AU Optronics, and it's code is B156HW01 v5.
On Dell's XPS 15 L502X, with it's awesome BG+R LEd screen, the code is B156HW01 v7.
I was wondering if it is possible to buy a v7 variant of the display and install it on the ASUS 🙂 are they compatible?

I guess we don't have anyone here that has tried but have you tried contacting AUO directly and just asking if they are compatible?

Yeah, I would ask the maker of the display.
Read the User's Manual for more info. 😄
