ASUS customer service at its finest

ASUS service is DOWN.

By down, I mean "can't do anything to help you, and we don't know how long it will take" down.

How is it possible I sink $1300 on a new laptop and a multi-billion dollar company can't answer 2 questions?

You should feel ashamed of yourself, asus. Another corporate front that puts money in front of service.

Is this related to your mothball issue?

I don't think anyone has ever had to do something like that here.

Y I called a couple of weeks ago and they told me the same thing. Talk to a cl admin on the forms some time there side still works. Now if we could just get them to stock the rubber feet for the batter and ship them.

I saw your complaint, and it just reminded me of my "ASUS adventures". It's not just the unanswered questions mate, its the support itself! These are my cases from some time back...

Case 1: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?28147-G55-BIOS-update-ULTRA-FAIL

Case 2: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?29231-G55-returns-after-BIOS-brick

Now Case 2 is pretty disturbing bearing in mind that was done in a certified ASUS support center. At first I was literally lost for words, but whats done is done.

Feel free to check with me at cl-Albert if there is anything I can help with.

Although I'm located at an ASUS U.S. office, I may be able to get more people involved if anybody has pending rma issues (with an rma number) elsewhere.

Thanks.

OP here,

My question is this: What's going on with my laptop's cover case? http://imgur.com/a/JnIMs#0

jmontaruli, thanks for the update and picture.

Not sure if you were asking about getting it covered under warranty, but expect ASUS support/rma may either reject it for physical/cosmetic damage, or ask you to send in the unit so ASUS repair can take a look and determine the warranty after they get it.

If you don't mind sending in the notebook for this, you may want to check if it's possible to get an RMA number to send in the unit, but not sure how this will turn out.

Otherwise, do you see that damage primarily on one side of the notebook and is there a bag or backpack you are using for it? Just wondering if the problem could be related to this.
I don't hear everything, but not something I've heard a lot about.
