Hello Friends,

I need advise or help, i have purchased everything for cooling system like GPU block, radiator, waterpump etc. Now i am lacking only fluid for radiator and that i cannot import to my country. I am living outside of USA so in my country we cannot import any kind of liquid and neither i am finding any coolant or fluid in my country. Please suggest me that what can i do or there are any alternative solution instead of fluid like water or mixing anything to make coolant for radiator.

What rads and water blocks do you have. You can run distilled water (NOT DRINKING OR SPRING!) with a kill coil (short length of wound .999 fine silver wire you buy at a jewlery store) if you don't have weird blocks or rads.

Can you get distilled water it's the most preferred because most of the impurities have been removed through distillation. There are no minerals to build up in your system which is good .

I have EK Ultimate Performance CoolStream 240 XTX Series Liquid Cooling Radiator (EK-CoolStream RAD XTX (240)) and XSPC GPU Block. So i need a distilled water and what other thing i need which will suit my radiator and block?

Thanks a lot for your help.

You can run deionized or distilled water...you should be able to find this in any chemist or garage . I run deionized water only and change every 2 months...i have never had anything grow in my loop or had problems with corrosion or oxidation. 🙂

It means that only only distilled water without any mixing right?

Yeap! As Arne said, no additives are required - just change it every 2 or 3 months to be on the safe side... I had distilled water for longer than that and nothing bad happened, but you know...

Also, make sure that you flush your radiator before start using it! And make proper leak testing before you power up your system...

I only ever used distilled water, no additives to speak of and I've never seen any corrosion or build up issues.

Use distilled water. If you want to, you can throw a piece of .999 fine silver wire coil in it . This is not sterling silver (.925) but instead fine silver (.999). A short length in the res will work. Make sure it's long enough piece and coiled big enough that it won't slip into a hose and get sucked through the system.
