I ordered for an asus rog750 js-ds 71 with intel dual band ac 7260 wireless card . I read many forums on the wireless card 7260 having problems with speeds and ping issues. how does it perform with the asus. will i be having such problems too?

yes you will, I was about to order it too from Amazon.com then I read the user reviews, horrible, simply horrible.

I then went for the Bigfoot Networks Killer Wireless N Networks Card for 49 USD. That is the same one they put on some of the higher models of ASUS so it IS supported and you can use the ASUS drivers too

i upgraded my atheros wifi which was unstable to the intel one 7260 AC works perfectly fine very happy with it had issues with the Bluetooth but I researched about it just needed to uninstall the wifi software that came with the VW model it was stupid anyway. still have the capability to use the function key and it displays when the wifi is on or off so all good. u need an AC router though.

it has to be compatible with other routers too right. I would also be using it with b/g/n routers too

yes of course it is compatible i use it with my router which is N.

but it will not use the full potential, thats what i meant with ( u need an AC router )

If you have N router then go with the N wifi car unless your thinking of upgrading your router in the future.

Hope this was helpful.

I have the Asus PCE-AC66 PCIe wireless adapter in my desktop and was skeptical about the Bigfoot Killer NIC in the G750. My internet connection at home is about 60mbit sustained and can burst to 80mbit or so. I wanted to be able to pull the same with either my desktop or laptop. I was pleasantly surprised with the Killer NIC and it performs just as well as the AC adapter in my desktop and pulls that no problem. My Router is only N, but both perform about the same. The app included is also nice and helpful and has graphs of all performance related info/signal strength/bandwidth usage by program/ect. I was impressed.
(ROG has simply become too expensive compared to the competition with same specs... 😞 )
