Strange problem

EnthusiastBuild

Hey ROGers

Since January I notice a strange problem occuring almost every day 1 time.

I play BF4, LOL and WoW.

No matter which game I play, sometimes the PC / Screen freezes to a low FPS rate, eg: 28-36 for about a second, it all freezes until it continues to play smoothly without significant fps drops.

I really hope someone can help me out, did some google research etc.... but I didn't find a solution. I don't even know how my problem is called. I have low to none microstutter.

I play on 1 monitor.

Cheers

Hey EB! Good to see you about but not so good to see it's with troubles...

Have you checked what temps and what memory usage on the GPU is like when this happens...using something like Afterburner or Precision X ...if you install Riva Statistics Server you can put a whole lot of data up in the OSD...might give you a clue.

Tried latest driver? as they come out?

Does this happen at stock CPU and GPU?

Hey Arne!

Yes, single monitor 1920x1080 BENQ. SLI 2 x 780

I also have white screen flashing / flickering on my bottom half of the screen sometimes.

This stuff worries me alot. Before it ran fine for months 😐

Hey Arne!

I did not check memory usage on the GPU, but temps seem fine. Only in BF4 it peaks at 77° (GPU) CPU fine aswell.
Latest Drivers installed. Never tried on stock CPU or GPU because it ran fine for months.

I also noticed white screen flashing / flickering on the bottom half of my screen 😐

Cheers

Hmm maybe try rolling back to an older driver? Like whatever you were on before the trouble..

The memory I mention but you have 3GB right...hardto get up to that level of usage on one screen....1080p right?

Just Firefox with some tabs, youtube or streams sometimes while I play, stuff I did before this things began to happen.

Hmm... You wouldnt happen to have your email open or other program that might give you a hiccup once in a while

I might take Arne suggestion first roll back to the driver prior to the one your currently using. If that not it roll back to default settings and see if that fixes your problem. Its not some stupid setting in origin is it? I have had something similar happen when friends log on and stuff like that. Not the free tho just the flashing.

Hmm the problem is it also occurs in league of legends, pretty crappy graphics which never max out cpu or gpu.

I would have to go back many many many drivers to a december one i guess.

Maybe a faulty SLI bridge?

Could be the SLI bridge do you have another one to test. Let us know if you figure something out. I hope you find it soon.
