Post How to overclock my processor?

    How to overclock my processor?
Hey guys, I'm wondering how to overclock my Intel i7-4930K @ 3.4 GHz, and also wondering what differences in performance it will make.
I don't want to burn my computer into the ground, as I'm just using the watercooling corsair H100i cooler.
Any tips or help would be appreciated!

Well, out of the box you have the Turboboost option, which let's the CPU easily make it to 3.9 GHz.
I wouldn't advize you to go too far beyond that, as this CPU is not ideal for overclocking since it's hard to keep cool.
The problem with the Haswell-based CPUs is that they have inferior thermal interface material between the CPU cap and the CPU die.
I am however a tad jealous of your specs though..

    Hope this helps...

    easy start

increase the cpu multiplier in bios, with 1 step

    press f10 (save and exit)

pc will reboot, and hopefully you now got a mild cpu overclock

    In win-->

    Download cpu-z

    Launch the app

put some load on the cpu, by running intel burntest for example

Then it will show, in cpu-z, the max frequency of the cpu, and hopefully it is 100mhz higher than stock

    good luck, its now overclocked

and you are on the way

I saw that, figured it was a type-o, lol
Would be kinda weird to ask how to overclock an overclocked CPU...
