R4G - Reboots = No post

Hello everyone,
I'm currently using an Asus Rampage IV GENE-Z and am having some rare issues.

I've recently formatted my computer reinstalling windows as usual before this issue occurred.
Upon the completion of the installation, it had requested a reboot.
When the reboot initiated, the system would reboot but would not post, resulting in a plain black screen.

This issue has started after formatting the drive and has not happened before then.
The system will post only if it were to be shut-down and powered on physically.

I've attempted in updating the bios and reverting everything to stock settings. No success so far.

TLDR; Only reboots result in no posts, shut-down and power on boots system normally.

(Major issue for accessing computer and rebooting remotely)

Any recommendations?

If you have a spare drive, you could remove the one you installed Windows on, and reinstall windows on the spare, and see if the problem repeats.

After you get it to post with a power cycle, does it boot into Windows Ok?

Strangely enough, I installed windows on another drive to check if the issue would occur, and it didn't.
So I removed the working drive and attempted to replicate the issue again using the original drive.
Miraculously enough, the issue disappeared!

Case solved. Thank you

For now at least. Perhaps there was some sort of bad connection on the SATA cable. Did you move any of the cables before you re-installed Windows?
