at this point i really wish asus had installed the 3 slot cooler (like they did on the 680) _ that one was awsome!

    p.s.

i also believe that this new FAN design is not preforming so well.

Have you seen how well that fan does the job?
Nah i don't think it's a fan design, however, it's a mix of the old turbine design seen on reference gtx 700/R9 series and for example, a 9400GT card, it does pretty well, it can cool the card at reasonable noise levels.

this is not a traditionl card.
the fan build is not the idle cooling for this engineering.
this needs to be under liquid cooling, that would be the idle situation for the fully UnLocked 780Ti.
I actualy wanted to skip this Kepler and go for the Maxwell. but when i saw the (so called) pascal (VOLTA), i knew maxwell is just a lame wonna be of that Volta.
i planed to use the 780Ti till the next unlocked pascal (that will have the stacked ram).
also, nvidia promised lower power consumption and heat... so owning one of those from an Asus build .. will be nasty! (although the heat issue from asus made me a little bit disappointed... i still feel safe with the build quality and rep of ASUS)
    gee i love asus.

Me card arrives yesterday and i realy like it.
    This is my 5 GTX780Ti:
    1. Gigabyte: Coilwhine (i have this is the right word)
    2. Inno3D: Coilwhine
    3. other Inno3D: Coilwhile
    4. eVGA: Cooler rattle/whines

    Now the Asus:
    nothing

It has no Coilwhine (at 150 FPS i hear nothing).
    Fan is silent.

I can push my card to 79°C (at 65%). vrm gets 94°C.
But this is when i push the card realy hard.
Under Bf4 for example the card goes up to 69°C (vrm 80°C).
    Under Tera 48°C (58°C)...

I like the card, because it is the first one that is realy silent.

eVGA all so has no coilwhine, the the cooler rattles (see eVGA-Forum - general problem).
I had 5 (!!!) eVGA gtx 780 Classi and every card das this cool-noise-problem. eVGA refund me the gtx780 so i bought this one.

I think the general qualitiy of the card itself is equal to Asus, but the eVGA-Cooler is horrible.
But the eVGA Service is the best in the word. I RMA one card and get a new one on the next day (advanced rma). Thats unbelievable good!

But now, i will buy Asus-Graficcards.... i think it is realy true that the components are better then on other card.
For me, i see it because the asus is the only one which have no whine-problem...

You dident win only the quite side of the card... but also the FiNE Build and Engineering!

    Welcome to Asus Club,

Asus is not cheap, but in reference to the competition... ITS WORTH EVRY DIME!~

once you touch it, you can never stay back!

Your temperatures are weird, seems like you're not pushing your card to the limit, in BF4 you should hit at least 82 º at stock fan settings, or either you're having serious bottlenecks which prevents the GPU usage quite a bit and your CPU is doing all the job for your GPU.

    yes!
i was thinking the same thing but dident want to look .... problematic.
hell, when BF4 is at load, my VRM can get to 107c (on default FAN without using any tweaks) (with tweak i manage to keep it on 85-90)
i guess his game runs on very low settings

Cool Thermal imaging camera for accurate heat signature

    Hey,

I've been using this thermal imaging camera to check the heat signature of my PC, works wonders as i can see if the heat is not uniform or where it starts.

    check it out: https://bit.ly/2LT506k
