g750jw second bay HD does not work? does not get recognized???

I have the g750jw have tried everything, I tried a adding a samsung 840 SSD in the second bay. it did not work. I even tried the SSHD 9.5mm. It still does not get detected in the second bay? it just says empty empty empty. Anyone have any idea why whever I put in a HD in my second bay. The OS hangs. I already have win 8.1 installed in the first HD bay????

Had the same issue, try putting it in and out several times, then restart your machine and it should be recognised. I was scared too that something is wrong when my 840 EVO ssd wasn't recognized but all I needed was restart.

Plug it in, boot up the computer, and then go to Start > Right Click 'My Computer' > Manage > Disk Management > find your second Drive > Right click and 'Set Partition / Drive (whatever) as Active'


If that doesn't work, you may need to fiddle with your BIOS.
