4770K / Maximus VI Formula cannot run Gamer's OC Profile. What gives?

Recently upgraded from my CHIVF & AMD 1090T to the Maximus VI Formula & 4770K.

Trying to start doing some OC'ing with my new Haswell, but not having a very good go of it. From the guides I'm reading, it seems like I should at the very least be able to run the "Gamer's OC Profile". Unfortunately, when I load that up, I get a blue screen about 10-15 seconds after Windows loads. I don't even have time to load a benchmark or any software before it crashes.

Is this normal? Or did I get the absolute worst of the silicone lottery?

    I should note:
    - I'm running an H100 with 4 fans (push-pull configuration) in a Corsair 800D.
    - I did "delid" my processor, and applied Arctic MX-4. My temps seem very consistent, with RealBench v2 showing max temps of 63, 62, 60 & 58C across all cores respectively (at stock timings). Idle temps are around 35-36C, so I think I should be happy with that.

So if my temps are OK, where am I going wrong? Am I wrong to think everyone should be able to run this Gamer's OC Profile?

    Thanks in advance ROG community

Haswells are touchy and not all can run the prebuilt profiles due to lack of voltage those profiles have

I for instance have the same board and CPU, and I actually never tried the gamer one but I can't use any of the prebuilt except 4.2

Its better to just manually over clock the 4770k
