DVD issues

Hello all. I recently upgraded from the Crosshair II, to a crosshair V. After everything was installed, i am having issues running the dvd that came with the motherboard. I am able to play audio, and install programs if it is on a cd, but nothing will install from the dvd. I have a plextor cd/dvd rw drive. i did not have this issue before with the crosshair II. Is there some setting i should be looking for in the bios?

The system device manager shows everything is good.

I have even tried to install the software downloaded off the asus website, but i am not having any luck. I was able to get the drivers install working, but not the large file that is equivilent to the dvd.

If anyone can point me to the right direction, that would be great.

Thank You

Is it a SATA or IDE DVD/CD drive?
If SATA, you might want to try plugging it into a different SATA port.
Other than that, it may be time to replace it.

You need update firmware of your DVD.
Download a new firmware for your DVD from manufacturer site.
I had the same problem, it's helped me
