    Computer Chair

HI all, here are some pics of the chair I designed and built yesterday. I finally got the time to make this design a reality. I have had the initial design for quite some time but never could figure out an elegant way to do the keyboard and monitor mounts.
This design utilizes one sheet of .75'' plywood, a hand full of 8x2 self tapping MDF screws and a 4''x6''x8' plank.
So far it is super comfortable.

Hmmm novel!! ...is it really comfortable? maybe it's just a trick of perspective or no scale....is it comfortable for your arms...or is that not the final position of keyboard and monitor...

Got a pic of someone in it....maybe that would help

Move the monitor stand forwards. That close to your eyes, you'll strain them, and it also becomes harder to game.

I am eventually going to wrap the chair in Suede. I am a professional graphic designer for a company called Local Motors in Chandler, AZ, and everyone at work wants one now. I mostly do Photoshop and a little gaming. My favorite game right now is Crysis 3. I am just starting Tomb Raider. My computer stats:
    Gigabyte 990fx udp7 motherboard
    AMD 8 core 4.5 processor
    32 gigs RAM
4 XFX HD 5850 video cards
6 OCZ 128GB solid state drives running RAID 0
    ASUS 27" 2560 x 1440 monitor.
    Liquid Cooled, Cosmos 2 case.

I really dig it, also you could probly market it

Like other said, if u made the monitor/keyboard area adjustable

Then maybe added arm rests for times when watching a movie or gaming with a controller

And as you said wrap it in something like suede

I'd say done deal and sell them things lol

Or you could get even crazier lol add some speakers and leds to it and call it an entertainment computer chair lol

This. Also, look up the Herman Miller Eames Lounge Chair - if you can make a computer chair like that, then you can quit your day job.

I Plan on putting at the least a 10" sub in the back. As far as the Herman Miller style goes, a much refined version of this chair will be coming soon, although I really like the rustic look. Adjustable arms made by ergotron will be used to mount the monitor and keyboard. A coworker has already ordered one with plans of 5 more after that.

I get 100fps. with my ancient quad crossfire set up. 4 gpu's and 4 gigs of RAM. I get 4800 stream processes. So why should I get a new card? LOL
