[SOLVED] G75VW Touchpad won't stay disabled through reboot

I wasn't using the Power4Gear Hybrid software and spent some time trying to figure out what was causing the webcam to re-enable after reboot. Before I was lead to the Power4Gear Hybrid software I did a bunch of things through the Windows 7 control panel and I may have messed with some other ASUS software as well but don't recall what I did that may have caused the following issue.

I used to be able to disable the touchpad using fn+f9 and after reboot it would still be disabled. The opposite is true now.

What is causing the touchpad to become re-enabled after reboot?

I had that same issue before, you need to update to latest touchpad driver, if already up to date do a repair install of the driver.
That fixed my issue for me.

Thank you very much! I had the latest version of the driver already installed so I downloaded the driver from support.asus and ran its setup which reinstalled the driver. The touchpad stays disabled across reboots.
