This board seems amazing, I was stuck between this and the VII FORMULA, however I chose this board because it was cheaper and seemed like it was almost identical to the formula. Received the board, worked great up until I started installing drivers, and turned my fan profiles to silent suddenly it won't boot, just stuck in a boot loop. Booting restarts at a random interval in the boot up process each time. Filed an RMA. Hope the next one is stable.

How do you disable secure boot? I want to install win64 Ultimate from a uefi usb drive and the manual isn't to clear on the settings needed on board.
Update!! Ok, sorted this now. Finally figured out that if you want to install Windows with secure boot disabled you have to pick "other os". Would it have been so hard to actually say this in the manual...I think not.Last edited by spanishguy; 10-30-2014 at 04:50 PM.

Is there a way to disable cooler's maximum spin at cold boot? I have ASUS Z97-PRO board placed in Corsair 450D case. This case has 3 fans. These have been connected to Cha. Fan 1/2/3 pins on MB (3-pin fans). I have made Q-Tune and everything is working fine. Just on the restart, these fans are spinning faster (not that much, this is ok) and on cold boot, when pc is turned on from being off, fans are spinning at maximum power/speed - fans from case and fans of hydro pump corsair H100i. It is a serious problem to me, because I cannot turn the pc at night without interrupting someone's sleep! This period takes from 3 to 5 sec on boot. It's gone upon reaching EUFI settings or having Windows loaded or anything else withing that time period.

New Z97 Deluxe user here with a SLI issue at boot.
Was getting black screens on boot and monitor shut downs. Swapped drivers and Device Manager see the 2nd card but not the first which is where the monitor is of course plugged into and thus I have low res video.
Yes, all cables are secured.
Thoughts?

Hey Perko !
Check in the bios and see if both cards are being recognized. On the extreme tweaker tab click GPU Dimm Post.
If it's not showing in there double check your pcie cables.
If it's still not there, try the first gpu in the second pcie slot, this will confirm if your gpu still works.

Thanks Nate.
I got it hammered out ..... somehow the drivers weren't recognized properly in one card so I managed to get in safe mode and uninstall them, drop back a step to 347.xx drivers and reflashed the bios on both.
I got it up and running well now ...... now I'm waiting to hear back about my MF7 board that won't boot, sticks on q76 and with nothing but a single stick of ram and a cpu. I spent a solid couple hrs swapping parts even tried both 4790k's and my 4770k..... momma wasn't happy I pulled stuff from her box. LOL

Well good to see you got it worked out Perko and was an easy fix. It's nice you have a backup board too it sucks when your computer is down.

I'm having a VGA LED Post error when using my EVGA GTX 770 card. Without card, CPU integrated graphics works fine. Is this the right place for help or is there a better place to contact support?
