ASUS ROG_EXT header for Asus OC panel question:

Dephekt
Level 7
Hello,

I've got a issue with the cable connecting the Asus OC panel to the motherboard header, i need it to be almost 3 times longer.
Attempting this through my Red Harbinger Cross desk is the reason behind it all, now my question is, because I can not buy a
"1 x 18-1 pin data connection port" extension, my last resort is making my own cable. I can not find anywhere online about
the type of wire used in the cable, if I can find this out it will be a easy mod. Any ideas?

Thanks all.

Just note the position of the stock wires and redo them one wire at a time to your desired length by depinning each end of the connector.

Not 100% sure the gauge of the wire but figure that out and buy that gauge in whatever color(s) you'd like.
Looks to be somewhere between 24-32AWG.
