ROG RAMDisk as a temporary drive

jjsorensen

I would like to use my RAMDisk as a temporary drive to encode video to. Once I'm done editing it, I save it to my file server so it never needs to be permanently saved on this machine.

I've set up drive Q: as a 8 GB RAMDisk and it works great until I reboot. Then surprise, everything is still there. I can even delete the items but they return after the next reboot.

Any ideas?

The only solution I've found is to delete the RAMDisk when I'm not using it. I've got plenty of RAM so that's a bit inconvenient.
