GeForce Driver 337.78

Dream
Level 7
Updated this morning to 337.78. I was two/three updates behind.

The local geforce program had trouble downloading the driver directly from Nvidia but I was able to download directly off the site without issue.

Made a system restore point, did a clean install, zero problems thus far. I'll post if I encounter any. Nvidia is claiming ~10% or more improvement for a wide variety of games. Looking forward to seeing if those claims pan out

This new driver was mainly released to improve GPU performance in Watch Dogs and trust me it really does, before updating my GPU drivers I was playing Watch Dogs at around 30-40 fps with mid graphics on my G750JW with the update I easily get 50-60 fps on mid graphics and high with 30-40. So it is worth updating if you are planning to play Watch Dogs.

just tried to install from nvidia website and it said that the driver wasn't compatible with 8.1. At a loss.

It helps to give us the details, which version of Nvidia driver? What laptop do you have?

If you downloaded the correct Windows 8.1 x64 version, you won't get a Windows 8.1 compatibility problem 🙂

don't download this driver...beware!!! it made my gpu reach to 90c..and some peoples cpu reached to 105c with it...no matter what i did i couldnt go back to my old temps i had to fresh install a windows..and now my max temp is 72c after 2 hours of gaming in bf4..before in less than 2 minutes it would reach to 82c and then climb up...i have the gtx 870m 6gb...maybe it only does that for 8 series but a lot of people complaining about how laggy and stuttery this driver makes their system..watch dogs ran like crap..i would recommend to stay away from it and use the beta driver.
