So, first Im sorry im not just editing my last post, but I also get "Access denied" when trying to save it.

I finaly get the Front Base FW Update to work, It seems that the Asus'es PDF guide I got on how to flash the FW is old, because it says to use the USB Q-connector to connect just the USB part of the Front base, after running the Flash utility says USB Connected, this is where it doesn't work, then just out of curiosity I tried to connect it normaly, rebooted PC, started the Flash utility and it said "IIC Connected", not "USB Connected", I tried to flash it and it works.. yay.. so maybe it will help Mobie aswell..

EDIT: I have made a video on how it works now after the update, with OC button working, where lvl1 cranks it up to 4.2GHz and lvl2 to 4.4GHz

    All,

I have the same problem and after many many tries, I managed to solve it having Front Base to display CPU frequency to work with M7H mobo.

    Here is the steps

    1. Uninstall all Realtek drives, ASUS Al Suite and ROG FB Driver.
    2. Install in this sequence
    A. Realtek Audio V6.0.1.7255,
    B. ASUS AI Suite 3 V1.00.79 and
    C. ROG Front Base Driver V1.01.06

You need to reboot every installation, Final installation of ROG Front Base, shutdown the PC and wait for 5 seconds or more until the Front Base is completely off. Power ON, hopefully it works.

If it doesnt please ensure you uninstallation all the ASUS drivers and make it really clean before installing. Root cause is the conflicts of the ASUS drivers of Audio, ROG Front Base and AL Suite 3 is causing the conflicts. ASUS Tech Support cant help much.

I hope this steps will help ROG users out there to be able to install ROG Front Base with Maximus 7 Hero. Good luck

I'm really hoping this works. I've just purchased a Hero and a Front Base for my new build. The FB shows a CPU speed of 4,398 (although it's unclocked), the USB charger does'nt work, no CPU cooler speed showing. It was actually fine until I istalled the updated AI suite from ASUS site. The one with the mobo on the disc was fine.. (go figure).
The update also crippled my xHCI driver for USB3 ports. I now have to use legacy mode USB and turn xHCI off. Well pleased all round really.
I'll report back on how it went.

    Hi
Im new to this forum. Been reading up on this problematic front base. I too had heaps of trouble.
Thanks so much for finding this solution. My front base works 100% now. Only difference was fpr some reason i had to use driver version 1.01.11. even tho i have a hero vii. Restarting after every install is a must as well as switching off power at the wall for about 10 sec.
    Thanks again

I can't use the Edit function after updating my BIOS to 2101 on my VII Ranger, done a roll back of the BIOS and still no Edit function. Is the ongoing issues with this panel ever going to be addressed?
