G75VW Battery Charging Issues

Howdy,

I have a G75VW laptop (2 actually, mine and my wife's). In mine, the battery will not charge, despite being plugged into AC adapter and Windows reporting that it's charging down in the system tray.

That same battery can go into the other G75VW and it charges normally. The other battery will not charge in my laptop.


I think I'm looking at a RMA situation here, assuming my warranty hasn't run out. Is there anything else I can/should try first?

You pretty well troubleshot it out a failed battery would not charge in the other G75 either, and her battery wont charge I your NB then its a hardware issue hope you still have warranty

Anyone have experience with Best Buy Geek Squad as far as repairs go? Pretty much my only option here outside of shipping it off.

A motherboard change out is a pretty big job. Some stores have good guys in the geek squad you just need to check up on how there doing at your store.
If you RMA it to Asus PM cl-albert here he can help these things go smoother he is the Customer Loyalty Rep in these forums.
