GPU UPGRADE - ROG G30AB i7 4770K GTX770

Hi all,

I'm considering a GPU upgrade for my ROG desktop.
Current specs are :

CPU : i7-4770
OS : Windows 8 64 Bits
RAM : 8 GB DDR3
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce GTX770 (2GB VRAM)

Not sure if ROG requires anything... I was going for an ASUS GTX 780 DC2OC (3GB Vram) and was wondering if that would work without any issue. I saw there was that ROG asus 780 Poseidon, I know it's supposed to perform a bit better, but it's the 'regular' GTX 780 DC2OC is also cheaper.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can give me any tips with this 🙂

Welcome to the ROG forums, blooqcanoe.

The first thing you'd want to check is the PSU. See if it has enough power to handle the GPU that you want to buy. 😉
