Piles of Missing Drivers for ALL : Healthy/Harmful lets get talking about this :)

Driver applications healthy or harmful ? I am really not sure... I mean to be honest it highlights numerous otherwise totally unattainable updates some are total garbage yes but other are impossible to find and seem to only come out of this source. Has anyone ever made/found a master list that is well maintained? Here are some examples for me:

Asmedia 106x SATA Controller Version 2.0.8.0001 Date 2014-03-14
or
Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection 12.10.29.0 : Date 2014-05-02 (seen this on stationdrivers websitebut wont install like it will with DriverMax)
or
Intel C600/x79 series chipset SMBus Host Controller 1D22 : 10.0.16 Date 2014-04-24
or
Intel(R) 82801 PCI Bridge - 244E 4.1.1.5 : 2011-10-20 (WTHeck is that ancient driver doing not included in any other package!)
or
Intel C600/X79 series chipset USB2 Enhanced Host Controller #2 1D2D : 9.2.3.1033 : Date 2013-07-31
or
Intel Xeon(R) Processor E5 Product Family/Core i7 System Address Decoder - 3CF6 : 9.2.3.1032 : Date 2013-07-25
or
Intel(R) C600/X79 series chipset LPC Controller - 1D22 : 10.0.1.16 : 2014-04-24
AND
a bunch of HID ones (some of which definitely appear to be a match with external proprietary software such as Matrox graphics enhancements, a company called PluralInputs (cute and useful but by all means external to this system build), ohh and Blue Soleil Bluetooth one (external) and even a total mismatch to some Toshiba HID.

DriverMax is what I am using though I assume many are out there and similar in nature.

Despite this utter garbage being spit out at the end; many of these are a TOTAL asset it would seem but would be nice to use the install or have a master list sticky so we can find them. For these reasons :

1) Clean, Legit and Software included installs (not just the inf and dll's that the driver apps often do)
2) Don't need this proprietary app to find them (some I have searched hours for and are complete MIA's)
3) Avoid the putting this Ad infested paid app on my PC to find things I should be able to find without (NEVER HAVE BEEN ABLE TO)

AND before everyone starts bashing the app itself which is total mickey mouse in appearance for half of us : Tell me where I can get most of these drivers are otherwise!! Ohh and don't say they are dangerous because I have used them for well over 3 years after every OS install and put all of these in (except the HID's which have some sloppy overlap). Many of which have provided stability obvious advancements and are clearly a correct MIA match!

Thank you for you time and lets think about making a master list I will help though I am sure there are more qualified folk on these forums.... Then this software is redundant as we will install them clean.

Sincerely

Not sure what you're asking and/or wanting... However, I personally keep a folder of all the latest drivers/firmware/etc for the Rampage IV.

I have zipped all of these and uploaded them here:

The latest chipset drivers will still install the same driver version for the x79 chipset.. Just because they're an newer revision doesn't mean they apply to x79..

The Black Edition driver list should be about the same.. But I don't own a black edition so I don't have a separate list for them.

yes BOLTS4BREKFAST you are right on that , I still prefer x79 over z87 or z97 and yes those all other drivers are fit for black edition too

Total respect again BOLTS4BREAKFAST you are always right on the point with accurate information and aid to the community 🙂 Hats off ... but to be honest many drivers that I have listed there are quite strange indeed : such as

Intel(R) 82801 PCI Bridge - 244E 4.1.1.5 : 2011-10-20

and

[Intel(R) C600/X79 series chipset LPC Controller - 1D22 : 10.0.1.16 : 2014-04-24

as just a couple of examples ... The Xeon ones I havn't been able to find ANYWHERE ... shrug...

thanks again though
