I have an ASUS G75vw-TH71. I think it is about a year and a half old. I have started having this error come up in my system log.
Atapi - Event ID:11 - The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Ide\IdePort0.
This has been causing my system to hang, freeze, and sometimes blue screen.

I removed my second hard drive that I used for entertainment and switched my system drive to the other bay. I am still having this error come up occasionally. I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem? From what I have been reading, seems to point to a disk controller going bad. Anyone have any thoughts?
