Yesterday I went to a local electronic super store and bought 32GB of ram for my G75vx which I bought because I was looking for a computer that could handle 32GB of RAM. When I place the 32GB of RAM the computer will not boot, when I take one of the dims out it boots normally. when I replace one of the 8gb dims with a 4GB having 8*8*8*4 == 28GB RAM it boots up fine. I changed the dims from place to place and still cant boot it up. I called ASUS support and they dont know what is happening (still cant get a service number). when I place the 32GB of RAM the monitor will not turn up at all. it will not even let me to the BIOS the lights in the fron does light up but nothing else. with 28GB or less I can boot it up normally.
I really don't know what to do, keep calling ASUS support and they tell me to restore the PC to default, sell the computer, buy other RAM dims, throw the PC in the trash??
Excuse me for the being pissed, I am just frustated I really liked the computer so far. Any help will be appreciated.
