kind of depends on the price range you will be looking at and what size. then we can help narrow it down. I use my Asus PB278 and love the resolution but does not have Gsync so maybe tradeoff for super gaming but surely very good for the photo editing I use it for as well as the gaming I do.

I too will be going with the ROG SWIFT when it's released in July 🙂

If you watch a lot of movies, the new crop of 21:9 monitors looks very nice! Especially the LG 34UM95. Check out the review of it at LinusTechTips. It's pretty expensive though 😕

Running a new Samsung U28D590D [28" Ultra-High Definition LCD] here - comes with one Display Port and two HDMI connections; recommended resolution is 3840 x 2160 so that takes a bit of getting used to. Am impressed with the quality of the display -

Thanks for all of your replies I will definitely be checking them out 🙂 My price range is only £140, looking at a 24" Monitor.

The two monitors I am thinking about are these (Mainly due to the price range and budget)

Here are the links to the both of them, one is IPS refreshing at 5ms (LG):

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/616192

The other is an Acer VA LED with a refresh rate of 6ms

http://www.ebuyer.com/630827-acer-g247hlbid-24-va-led-hdmi-monitor-um-fg7ee-001

I've found that IPS has a better viewing angle and that the colours etc are far better, for photo viewing and editing etc.

With games I believe that there can be slight motion blur, but then others have said that they hadn't noticed any difference from 5ms, 6ms and 8ms.

I think the LG would be the best for me, I game mostly although I do like to edit also.

Thought I'd get a second opinion before purchasing possibly next week 🙂

Cheers!

Don't forget it also depends on what type of games you play. If you are big on competitive FPS, then a TN panel with a high refresh rate would be the way to go. Otherwise, if you are just playing mostly MMORPG games, IPS is better since you don't really need that high refresh rate. Plus the IPS panels make the game look more vibrant! 🙂

Fingers crossed for winning the 4K Monitor haha, I would be over the moon. It would be inappropriate to announce how excited I would be XD
