Hope I am understsanding you correctly psngr and most of what I see are, system advisory reports,so follow them.

Your problem may be just this simple.

Go to System manager
Select Device manager
Open computer
Right click ACPI utility and check properties
Select update driver and allow to download and install
Restart computer and go to your desktop, the issue may be resolved.

If this doesn't resolve your particular issue, I suggest you follow the same steps and try and update all the other ACPI drivers as well because there may be a few.

1. Did you get this error message “Missing ASUS ACPI Driver"?
2. Are you facing any issue with the operating system?

I would also suggest you to update the chipset drivers as well as the above from :
http://support.asus.com/

Hope this helps!! if not come back to try another approach, It may be an MSCONFIG issue.

I'm getting the exact same problems as OP, with the EC and the driver failing to load.

The driver failing to load is a bugged AMDA00 interface - you can find it in device manager under system devices. As far as I know, you can uninstall it and disable the unknown device if you don't use AI Suite III. The driver is bugged, and has been since the 8 series chipsets - no hopes of it being fixed which is actually annoying.

As for the EC - still looking for a fix for that, and would appreciate if anybody knows anything about how to fix the annoying event viewer log. All my drivers are updated, and windows 8.1 runs flawlessly otherwise. Just the annyoing log.

ACPI Event ID 13
: The embedded controller (EC) did not respond within the specified timeout period. This may indicate that there is an error in the EC hardware or firmware or that the BIOS is accessing the EC incorrectly. You should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS. In some situations, this error may cause the computer to function incorrectly.

There ever a solution to this? I am getting the same errors.
