So I just got a new G750Jz, now im looking for a laptop bag/backpack that will fit this beast.
I was keen on the Asus ROG shuttle2 as it supports the G750 range. but can not find it for sale any where.

So what do you use? I will be moving mine around most days as i also use it for work.

Akin2Silver, the Asus Nomad is the best for the G750, so far 🙂

ASUS Republic of Gamers Nomad Backpack for 17-Inch G-Series Notebook (90XB0160-BBP000)

The shuttle looks too small inside to fit the JH/JZ - they are thicker than the other G750's, check the laptop compartment dimensions:

Yea I really like how sleek the Shuttle is though.
if you check the specs pages it says the shuttle 2 is G750 compatible.

Nomad dose look nice though.

The Nomad looks awesome.
But i do like the slick lines of the shuttle. When i looked at the specifacations of the shuttle on the asus website it said the shuttle 2 was G750 compatible. Do you know if the link you have about the shuttle vs nomad is the shuttle 2?

Akin2Silver, do you have a link for the Asus Shuttle 2? I can't find one...

http://www.asus.com/us/Search/?SearchKey=backpack

Backpacks are easier to tote around, the satchels are nice until they get heavy, and the G750 kicks the weight over the top all by itself 🙂

The thing to watch out for with bags for G750's, you have to have a solid bottom, padding, and seriously reinforced shoulder straps. I have a couple of bags with turned shoulder straps that wore down after a couple of months.

Turned = shoulder strap foam/padding breaks down over time - insufficient to maintain integrity, and the material of the strap is the only thing holding it together - which means the stitching/thread is the only thing holding it intact. I call it "turned" because that is what happens when you pick up the full backpack - the backpack turns on the axis of the strap instead of staying in place.

The JZ is thicker than the JM/JS, so if the Shuttle "fit's like a glove" for a JM/JS, it will be too tight for the JZ, but maybe the Shuttle II will fit?

If you check this page and look at the notes part it talks about the Shuttle II.

I'm thinking a backpack is the way to go, i just want to find a good one 🙂
With so many to choose from, it's not as easy as i thought.

When you get down to it, there are very few that really work well. Most are for smaller and lighter laptops.

That is weird, Shuttle II is like barely different in dimensions, the only place it is mentioned. No pictures to show how to identify a Shuttle or Shuttle II, and how they are visibly different, IDK what to say, but it isn't enough of a difference to really notice, except for a G750JH/JZ, which is thicker, it almost looks like the Shuttle 2 was made slightly bigger to fit the JH/JZ, but how would you identify the Shuttle II - it isn't listed for sale anywhere other than as a Shuttle.

Shuttle :
35.6(L) x 22.86 (W) x 52.39 (H)cm
Laptop compartment fits: 28.8(L) x 3.8(W) x 42.7(H)cm

Shuttle II:
36.0(L) x 22.9 (W) x 54.0 (H) cm
Laptop compartment fits: 32.0(L) x 5.0(W) x 42.5(H)cm

I wasn't looking at the Shuttle, I needed more space / pockets so I went for the Nomad right away, so I hadn't looked at the specifications, nice catch 🙂

You might also want to try http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LMWP78/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I bought it and it looks and feels like a quality product indeed. It is also quite understated - a quality which might be useful in less than ideal neighbourhoods or places for example. It is also cheaper than Asus Nomad II last I checked. I have not extensively tested it or anything but just going by how it feels in my hand and shoulders, and the reviews on Amazon, I believe it is worth it.

Have heard alot of good things about everki, i'm coming from a Targus so i'm hopping for quality along those lines.
Sounds like Everki is living up to that 🙂

Still not a huge fan of the extra straps and pockets, I really like my backpacks to be smooth. no extra bits added on the outside.

Interesting to see that most people use a backpack and not so many with the over shoulder carry bag.

The shuttle fits the G750 perfectly. I have one and it will fit your laptop like a glove. It's also spacious and it opens, like that everki, almost at a 180 degree angle.
