    The OC that you obtain via the Auto-Tuning utility is permanent - it is not a selectable profile as it writes back to UEFI and alters the settings there. However, when the system is not loaded - Speedstep and C-States will downclock the system anyway. You can simply select the .exe (programs) you want TurboApp to react to and set the target frequency.

    I would not bother making it any more complex than that - there's no valid reason to do so.

    I know this is an old post and couple gen's back but how did that guide ever turn out? Just curious as I've been using the Z97-WS for a few months now and already gotten more out of my cpu with this board over the Hero VII
