Maximus VI Hero Bio 1505 - Increased voltage/temp?

Hello, I just updated my bios to the 1505.
But it seems to have increased the voltage or temprature.

I used my earlier OC setting, and OCCT won't run it, saying it get too hot.

Mate please upload your images to the ROG server directly rather than using a image hosting, I know that there are heaps of them but I struggle to access them remotely.

When you change bios you should not expect your previous settings to work as they did before, occasional you get lucky but most of the time you need to start afresh. Basic stuff will be with in range but even the core voltages will be impacted on.

Bottom line start again and see where your cooling lets you go.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

MVIE 4790k does not drop voltage at idle unlike the 4770k.

CPU drops to 800mhz but remains 1.265v, tried changing C-States etc from Auto to Enabled but did not need do this before.

temps seems are non sense. If you changed CPU or soemthing, only new tim is not warmed (you ned many hours of load for optimal behaviours (and of course temp of 4770K and 4790K will be diference too)

FlanK3r , What you say does not make sense, not all TIM needs burned in and the CPU's should be near same temps at same clocks.

The 4790k I have is far to hotter over the 4770k I also have but the 4770k is a poor clocker.

At stock 4.4GBHs and voltage it hits 100C in Prime95 and the 4770k though not stable for long does not get anywhere near that temp.

My 4790k is from a batch 9 months old.

I though the new chips where to run cooler, with changes in TIM on chip? so your saying @stock it's hitting over 100c ? what are cooling it with a stock cooler?

No increase in voltage or temp here at same 4.5 o/c. 1.280 idle 1.296 load@76c max temp. This is using RB.

Nope, same 140mm Noctua, a bad CPU and going by batch number others have same temps if they run proper stress test like Prime95.

I cannot remember my 4770k temps (will check when I refit it) but they do not stick in my mind as they were acceptable even at higher voltages but I have a poor 4770k for OC.

I would not like to see this at stock clocks/volts with a Intel cooler in Prime95 lol.

Haswell really is a lottery,

I am a fool as I had a 5GHZ 2700k on air, and that is Prime95/IBT etc stable.
